How to Install UrbanBeam

1. Prepare tools and surface - Gather a socket wrench, screwdriver, zip ties, and possibly electrical tape. Clean the mounting surface so it is free from dirt and grease.
2. Mount the brackets on the light bar - Screw the adjustable brackets onto the bottom of the light bar according to the included instructions. Do not fully tighten the screws – leave room for adjustment.
3. Position the light bar on the vehicle - Hold the light bar in the intended position (grille, license plate holder, or bull bar). Ask for help if needed for stability.
4. Rough adjust angle and position - Set the height and tilt so that the light bar points slightly downwards and does not blind. Loosely tighten the mounting screws so the light bar is secure but can still be fine-tuned.
5. Connect the DT-2 relay cable kit
   • Connect the power cable (red) to the battery's positive terminal.
   • Connect the ground cable (black) to the car's chassis or the battery's negative terminal.
   • Connect the signal wire to the high beam signal cable (or designated adapter). Check the color codes.
6. Connect the light bar and test - Connect the light bar's connector to the cable kit. Turn on the high beams and check that the light bar activates as expected. Test the light pattern against a wall or on the road in the dark.
7. Finishing touches and cable routing - Secure the cables with zip ties along existing cable routes. Avoid proximity to exhaust systems, moving parts, and sharp edges. Insulate exposed connectors if necessary.
8. Final check and adjustment - Fine-tune the angle for optimal light pattern. Tighten all screws firmly. Take a short test drive and check for any vibrations or loose parts.

Safety tip: disconnect the battery's negative terminal before working with electrical installation if you are unsure, or leave the connection to a car workshop.
